We have finally got a first look at Parasite director Bong Joon Ho's Mickey 17, a sci-fi comedy film starring Robert Pattinson. Based on Edward Ashton's 2022 novel Mickey7, the film follows an expandable, or a disposable employee, named Mickey Barnes. Warner Bros. Pictures was supposed to release the movie earlier this year, but it was delayed due to the SAG-AFTRA strikes.

During the 2024 CinemaCon, Joon Ho said that he cast Pattinson in the titular role because of the “crazy thing in his eyes,” and that he thought the actor had the ingenuity to play all the various versions of the character. The director said that it is a “story about a simple man who ultimately ends up saving the world. It’s a strange type of hero’s journey.” The number in the title of the movie indicates how many times the main character dies, so Joon Ho said, “I killed him 10 more times!” (compared to the book).

Here's everything we know about when and where to watch Mickey 17, details about the plot, the star-studded cast, the trailer, and more. Stay tuned for more updates.
