What’s next for Family Guy?

After the Halloween special, Family Guy will release a Christmas-themed episode. Fans are eagerly awaiting these episodes, especially as Fox has delayed the premiere of season 23 to midseason, marking the first time since 2005 that the show won't be on its fall schedule.

Despite the delay, Fox remains committed to the series. Creator Seth MacFarlane had previously considered ending Family Guy at its peak but ultimately decided to continue the show as long as it had a dedicated audience. “I don’t see a good reason to stop. People still love it. It makes people happy,” MacFarlane shared.

Season 23 promises fresh, creative storylines. Highlights include Peter struggling to throw a ball, Meg dating the giant chicken’s son, Chris going on a “Lord of the Rings”-inspired adventure, and Stewie embarking on a mission to return his stuffed bear, Rupert, to China. Additionally, the Griffin family will parody The White Lotus during a vacation where Stewie fears his new friends may sacrifice him.
