In this guide, I will demonstrate how to install one of the Ukodi1 builds on Kodi using the Ukodi1 wizard. This walkthrough consists of a series of screenshots that will guide you through the step by step process. The method described here works on all the devices that support Kodi including FireStick, Android mobile devices, Windows PC etc.
If you are a Kodi user, you will know the importance of Kodi addons. The truth is that the whole Kodi experience is hinged on the addons and most of them are made available to us by the third-party developers. The default Kodi setup lets us install these addons individually. However, being a regular Kodi user, I find this rather taxing. I would rather have a package of addons than install each one of them separately. That’s what the Ukodi1 builds are for. These builds come preinstalled with several popular Kodi addons. Whether you want to watch a movie or TV show or even live TV, Ukodi1 builds have some great options for you.
The Kodi builds make the addon management easier. At the same time, they enrich your Kodi experience through a livelier and more intuitive interface. I have tested some of the Ukodi1 builds on they have an interesting visual appeal. There is no doubt that Ukodi1 builds are among one of the top builds for Kodi.
Without much ado, let us now get started.
How to Install UKODI1 Build on Kodi
The first thing you want to do is grant Kodi the permission to install third-party builds or addons. The security feature of Kodi wouldn’t let you do that by default. So, here is what you need to change:
#1. Run Kodi and when you are on the home screen, click Settings on the upper-left.
#2. Go ahead and click ‘System settings’ on the next window
#3. Select ‘Add-ons’ on the left panel/sidebar of the next window and then click the switch next to ‘Unknown Sources’ on the right. You need to make sure the switch button is on the right and Unknown Sources is enabled
#4. You should now see a warning message telling you that third-party addons or builds can cause harm. You don’t have to worry about it as Ukodi1 build for Kodi is safe
Your Kodi is now ready to install the Ukodi1 build.
Up next, I am going to take you through a three-part installation process. Here is a quick look at what we are going to do:
- Add Source to Kodi from where Ukodi1 wizard will be installed
- Install the Ukodi1 wizard add-on from the source
- Install Ukodi1 Kodi builds using the Ukodi1 wizard
Let us now run through each process in detail.
I personally use and recommend ExpressVPN which is the best VPN for Kodi. You can get 3-months free and save 49% on its annual plans.
Add Source to Kodi from where Ukodi1 wizard will be installed
We are now going to add the source from where we will install the Ukodi1 wizard later. Follow the steps below:
Step 1: Launch Kodi and on the home-screen click ‘Settings’ on the top-left
Step 2: Click ‘File manager’ from the list of the options on the next window
Step 3: Now, go ahead and click ‘Add source’ option as shown in the image below
Step 4:Â Click on when the following window appears
Step 5:Â Now, type in the URL of the source which we need to add to install the Ukodi1 wizard. The URL is: ukodi1.com/wizard/
This is where the things tend to get a little tricky as a lot of people do not type in the URL correctly. Please make sure you type in the URL correctly.
Click ‘OK’ to proceed
Step 6: The next thing you want to do is type in a name for the source in the ‘Enter a name for this media source’ box. I have chosen the name ‘ukodi’. You may choose the same or any other name you can easily identify the source with. We will use this name later in the next section
Click ‘OK’ again once you have typed in the name
Alright! That’s how we add the source. Let us now install the Ukodi1 wizard from the source.
Install the Ukodi1 wizard add-on from the source
Here are the steps you need to follow to install the Ukodi1 Wizard.
Step 1: Make sure you are on Kodi home-screen. Now, click ‘Add-ons’ from the options on the left sidebar
Step 2:Â Click the open-box or Package Installer icon on the top-left on the next window
Step 3: Now click the option ‘Install from zip file’
Step 4: On the next window, click the name you chose for the source earlier. In my case, I am going to click ‘ukodi’ as this is the name I chose
Step 5: Now, click the Zip file with the name ‘plugin.program.ukodi1.zip’ (the file name may change if there is a version update)
Step 6: Ukodi1 wizard will start to install. It may take 2-3 minutes for the installation. When you see ‘Ukodi1 Wizard add-on installed’ notification, it means that the add-on has been installed (check the image below)
Step 6: You will now see the following message from the developers. Read the message if you want to and then click ‘Dismiss’ to close it. If you want to see the message again in future, click ‘Remind Me Later.’
Step 7: Another window will pop-up with the list of some settings. If you want to change any of the listed settings, go ahead and do it. I am going to leave it as it is and click ‘Continue’
Step 8: You will see yet another pop-up asking you whether you would like to see the Build Menu. You may directly go to the menu by clicking ‘Build Menu.’ However, in case you wish to go to the menu later, you will learn how to in the next section.
For now, I am going to click ‘Ignore’.
You have successfully installed the Ukodi1 wizard. We are now going to learn how to install Ukodi1 builds on Kodi using this wizard.
Install Ukodi1 Builds Using the Ukodi1 Wizard
In order to install one of the Ukodi1 Kodi builds, here is what you need to do:
Step 1: Go to Kodi home-screen and then click ‘Add-ons’ on the left. On the next screen, select ‘Program add-ons’. You will see Ukodi1 wizard listed there. Click the wizard icon to open it
Step 2: Now, click the option ‘(ukodi1) Builds’ to see the list of the available builds
Step 3:Â Here is the list of the builds available at the time of writing this article. You can choose any build you like. For the demonstration purposes, I am going to go ahead and install the Ukodi1 Minatour build for Kodi Krypton.
Step 4: Now, I need to choose whether I want to go for the ‘Fresh Install’ or ‘Standard Install’. The difference between the two is evident.
Fresh Install will wipe out all your existing Kodi data including add-ons and settings and restore Kodi to default before installing the build.
Standard Install will retain some of the add-ons and certain Kodi settings.
I am going to select ‘Fresh Install’ as I have nothing specific I wish to retain. You may choose any option to suit your needs.
Step 5: Click ‘Continue’ to confirm your action and to proceed. You are giving your consent to restore Kodi to factory default by clicking this option.
Step 6:Â The Ukodi1 Minatour will thus begin to download and install
Step 7: Once the build is installed, you will see the message as shown in the image below. ‘Reload Profile’ doesn’t seem to do much. I have observed that it is best to go with ‘Force Close’ if you have installed a build. This will close Kodi.
Step 8: Go ahead and launch Kodi again. This is how the interface will now look like. As you can see, ‘Movies’ option is selected by default in the Menu strip below. Some of the popular addons like Neptune Rising, Placenta, Joshua, and Uranus come pre-installed with this build.
So, this is how we install the Ukodi1 builds on Kodi.
Before you start streaming with Kodi Addons / Builds, I would like to warn you that everything you stream on Kodi is visible to your ISP and Government. This means, streaming copyrighted content (free movies, TV shows, Sports) might get you into legal trouble.
Kodi users should always use a VPN to protect their identity while streaming. Â
I personally use and recommend ExpressVPN, which is the fastest and most secure VPN. It comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee. Meaning, you can use it freely for the first 30-days and if you are not satisfied with the performance (which is highly unlikely), you can ask for the full refund.
We do not encourage the violation of the copyright laws. But, what if you end up streaming content from an illegitimate source unintentionally? It is not always easy to tell the difference between a legit and illegal source.
So, before you start streaming on Kodi, here's how to get VPN protection in 3 simple steps.
Step 1: Get the ExpressVPN subscription HERE.
Step 2: Click HERE to download and install the ExpressVPN app on your device.
Step 3: Click the Power icon to connect a VPN server. That's all. Your connection is now secure with the fastest and best VPN for Kodi.
Wrapping Up
While I chose the Minatour build from the list of the available builds, you can pick whichever you like for the version of Kodi you have. Each one seems to be better than the last. I like Kodi builds because they give me access to a wide range of popular add-ons without me having to install them individually. Minatour build has several preinstalled addons for movies, TV shows, sports, live TV etc. However, if I still need to install an add-on that does not come with the package, I can do that easily like before. All in all, builds make our Kodi experience better and Ukodi1 has a decent collection of high quality builds for Kodi.
