Alfawise X5 Mini PC
As this is cheaper than some of the Android boxes but with Windows 10, this would make an ideal all round media box.

All the services that many Android boxes have issues with because of lack of support or compatibility will work out of the box here, so Netflix, NowTV, Amazon, Sky etc won't seen any bodging or custom firmwares to attempt to get them to work and Kodi 17 and kodi 18 will work perfectly too.
Full 4K (limited to 4K @ 30Hz) but for the vast majority of streams and media that people will actually use, it will do a good enough job, although shame it's not dual band WiFi but does have Gigabit LAN, even though the 2.4Ghz WiFi performance is likely to be better than on many Android boxes.
This does have Android too, although it will never see itself updated beyond 5.1 and you could remove it and have all the available space for Windows.
You could also use OpenElec/Libreelec.
