Plot

The Thing About Tommy is based on the true story of Thomas Randolph, infamously known as the “Black Widower.” Randolph, who has been married six times, saw four of his wives meet tragic ends. The series draws inspiration from Dateline’s coverage of his case, particularly the multi-part series The Widower.

Following in the footsteps of The Thing About Pam, which explored Pam Hupp’s connection to the 2011 murder of Betsy Faria, The Thing About Tommy continues the tradition of transforming high-profile true crime cases into compelling dramas.
